Assalamu Alaikum.
Although Bangladesh has got some relief from the Corona epidemic, its 35th Annual General Meeting of Karnaphuli Insuance Co. Ltd. has to be held via video conference as its effects still exist in the social life. On behalf of the Board of Directors and myself, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations and welcome to all those who have joined today’s meeting. At the same time I wish peace to the departed souls of those whose have died associated with the company in the last one year. I would lie to express y gratitude to Almighty Allah for joining you and at the same time I am presenting to you the audit report with annual accounts and financial statements based on the overall activities of the company for the year ended 31st December, 2021.
With the continued support and strong support of the esteemed members of the Board of Directors of the company, the patronage of the dear customers and the relentless work and dedication of all the officers and employees working in the company, the success of 2021 continue.
You will be happy to know that this year’s annual premium income has surpassed all past records of BDT 52,03,83675/- ie BDT 6,21,,93,221/- more than the previous year. The total assets amounted to BDT 165,77,75,710/- ie BDT 15,69,55,954/- more than the previous year. The total paidup capital has been BDT 44,87,61,130/-.
I have advised Mr. ANM Fazlul Karim Munshi, Chief Executive Officer of the company to follow the instructions issued by the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority for further business growth.
I hope that he will continue to lead the company in the overall sense by following all the rules and regulations as in the past and working with honestly and dedication to provide more services to the insured.
I would like to inform you that it has been recommended by the Board of Directors to pay 12 cash as dividend for 2021 to the esteemed shareholders on dated 28/04/2022.
